Sabah Museum

The Sabah Museum is the state museum of Sabah, set on 17 hectares at Bukit Istana Lama in Kota Kinabalu. Founded in 1965 in a shophouse on Gaya Street, it moved to this complex in 1984; besides the main building, whose galleries have been closed to visitors since September 2024, it has an Islamic civilisation museum, a locomotive gallery and a heritage village.
