Sagano Scenic Railway

The Sagano Scenic Railway runs old-style, partly open carriages over a 7 km stretch of disused San'in Line track between Saga-Arashiyama in western Kyoto and Kameoka. The trip of about 25 minutes follows the Hozu Gorge through tunnels and over bridges; the line opened in 1991 and pauses in winter.
