Portuguese School of Equestrian Art
The Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, founded in 1979, keeps the classical Portuguese riding tradition with Lusitano horses of the Alter Real line. At the Picadeiro Henrique Calado arena in Belém, morning sessions let visitors watch the grooms caring for the horses and then riders in period dress training for the school's galas.
