Rough Point

Rough Point is an English manor-style house built in 1887–1892 for Frederick W. Vanderbilt on a point at the southern end of Bellevue Avenue. It later belonged to the tobacco heiress Doris Duke, and the Newport Restoration Foundation she founded opened it as a museum in 2000 with her collections of art and furniture.
