The International Tennis Hall of Fame occupies the Newport Casino, a shingle-style social club designed by McKim, Mead & White and opened in 1880, where the first U.S. National Championships were played in 1881. Its museum covers the history of tennis and its inductees, and the grass courts on the grounds are still played on.
