Christ the King Cathedral, known locally as the Mountain Church, stands on a rocky hill near Nha Trang railway station. The Gothic Revival church was built from 1928, consecrated in 1933 and given its bell tower in 1935; it became the cathedral of the Diocese of Nha Trang in 1960. Its stained-glass windows show saints and scenes from the life of Jesus.

Built between the 8th and 13th centuries for Yan Po Nagar, mother goddess of the Cham, it is still a place of worship, where Vietnamese venerate her as Thiên Y Thánh Mẫu; the main tower is about 23 metres high.
