Peine del Viento

The Peine del Viento is a group of three steel sculptures by Eduardo Chillida, each weighing about 10 tonnes, set into rocks at the western end of Ondarreta beach in San Sebastián. The granite terrace around them was designed by the architect Luis Peña Ganchegui. Completed in 1976, the site has vents in the paving through which breaking waves push air and spray.
