Tuzigoot National Monument

Tuzigoot National Monument protects the ruins of a Sinagua pueblo on a limestone ridge above the Verde River near Clarkdale, about 24 km south-west of Sedona. Built from around 1000 and enlarged to some 110 rooms before it was left around 1400, it was excavated in 1933 and 1934. A short trail climbs through the walls to the hilltop, and a museum shows finds from the site.
