San Pietro extra moenia

San Pietro extra moenia is a church at the foot of Monteluco, outside the walls of Spoleto, founded in the 5th century on an older burial ground to keep chains said to have bound Saint Peter. Its façade, reached by a wide 17th-century stairway, is covered with late-12th-century reliefs of the saint's life and of medieval fables.
