Britannia Mine Museum
The Britannia Mine Museum stands in Britannia Beach on Howe Sound, about 55 km north of Vancouver, at a copper mine that was the largest in the British Empire in the 1920s and 1930s. Visitors ride a train into a haulage tunnel driven in 1914, see a show in the 20-storey Mill No. 3, a National Historic Site, and try gold panning.
