Adelaide Zoo
Adelaide Zoo opened in 1883 on Frome Road, in the Park Lands beside the River Torrens, and is the second-oldest zoo in Australia. Run by the conservation charity Zoos SA, it keeps about 250 native and exotic species, including giant pandas, Sumatran orangutans and tigers, among heritage-listed buildings and old trees.
