Alaska Botanical Garden

The Alaska Botanical Garden, founded in 1993, lies in the boreal forest of east Anchorage, about 10 km from downtown. Its cultivated gardens show perennials, herbs, alpine rock plants and native species that survive the subarctic climate, and nature trails lead through birch and spruce woods to Campbell Creek. The garden is entirely outdoors.
