Alaska Native Heritage Center
The Alaska Native Heritage Center, opened in 1999 about 10 km north-east of downtown Anchorage, presents the cultures of Alaska's Native peoples. Its Welcome House hosts dances, stories and Native games, and around Lake Tiulana six village sites show the traditional houses of the Athabascan, Yupʼik and Cupʼik, Iñupiaq, Unangax̂ and Alutiiq, and Eyak, Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian peoples.
