Loggia dei Mercanti

The Loggia dei Mercanti is a 15th-century merchants' hall near the port of Ancona, begun in the 1440s by Giovanni Pace. Its Venetian Gothic marble façade, carved by Giorgio da Sebenico in the 1450s, carries statues of Hope, Fortitude, Justice and Charity and a relief of an armed horseman, the city's emblem. The Chamber of Commerce uses it for official events.
