Antwerp Zoo

Antwerp Zoo, founded in 1843 by the Royal Zoological Society of Antwerp, lies in the city centre beside Antwerpen-Centraal station. Its 10.5-hectare grounds are a listed monument with 19th-century animal buildings such as the Egyptian temple of 1856 and the Oriental-style antelope house, now home to the okapis.
