Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas is an amusement park in Arlington, opened on 5 August 1961 by developer Angus G. Wynne Jr. as the first park of the Six Flags chain. Its name refers to the six nations that have governed Texas. Themed areas hold roller coasters such as the Texas Giant and the Runaway Mine Train, and the Oil Derrick tower of 1969.
