Church of San Ginés

The Church of San Ginés is the main parish church of Arrecife, near the Charco de San Ginés lagoon. It grew from a hermitage built in 1574, was rebuilt in 1667 and enlarged in the 18th and 19th centuries. Its whitewashed walls are trimmed with dark volcanic stone, the three naves have a Mudéjar-style wooden ceiling, and the square bell tower dates from 1842.
