Eagle's Nest

The Kehlsteinhaus, known in English as the Eagle's Nest, is a building completed in 1938 on the Kehlstein ridge above Obersalzberg, built for the Nazi party by Martin Bormann and used by Adolf Hitler for receptions. It now operates seasonally as a restaurant and beer garden, reached by a mountain road, shuttle bus and a lift cut through the rock.
