Château de Biron

The Château de Biron stands on a rocky hilltop above the village of Biron, on the southern edge of the Périgord. Seat of the Gontaut-Biron family from the 12th century until 1939, it grew from a medieval fortress into an ensemble of many periods: a keep, Renaissance living quarters, a two-level chapel and vaulted kitchens.
