Flèche Saint-Michel
The Flèche Saint-Michel is the free-standing bell tower of the Basilica of Saint-Michel in Bordeaux, completed in 1492 and 114 metres tall, the fourth-highest spire in France. After restoration work begun in 2022 it reopened in June 2026; visitors climb 230 steps over three levels to a viewpoint 47 metres up, and the tower holds a 22-bell carillon from the 19th century.
