Château de Bourdeilles
The Château de Bourdeilles stands on a rock above the Dronne in Bourdeilles, near Brantôme. It joins two castles: a medieval fortress with an octagonal keep about 38 metres high, begun in the late 13th century, and a Renaissance palace built by Jacquette de Montbron at the end of the 16th century, whose rooms display furniture, tapestries and other decorative arts.
