Royal Monastery of Brou

The Royal Monastery of Brou in Bourg-en-Bresse was built from 1506 to 1532 by Margaret of Austria as a burial church for her husband Philibert II of Savoy. The Flamboyant Gothic church has a roof of coloured glazed tiles and carved tombs by Conrad Meit; the monastery buildings around its cloisters house the town's museum of fine arts.
