Bran Castle

Bran Castle is a fortress on a rock above the Bran pass, built by the Saxons of Brașov from 1377 to guard and levy customs on the road between Transylvania and Wallachia. From the 1920s it was a residence of Queen Marie, whose furniture and art fill its rooms. Its link to Bram Stoker's Dracula is a modern association, with no evidence that Stoker knew the castle.
