Valentin Submarine Pens

The Valentin submarine pens are a vast reinforced-concrete U-boat factory on the Weser river in Bremen's Rekum district, built between 1943 and 1945 using forced labour. It was Germany's largest fortified U-boat facility after Brest, France, but was damaged by air raids before production could begin. The site is now the Denkort Bunker Valentin memorial.
