Arcul de Triumf

Arcul de Triumf is a 27-metre triumphal arch on Kiseleff Road in Bucharest, commemorating Romania's part in the First World War and the 1922 coronation of King Ferdinand and Queen Marie. Petre Antonescu designed it; the present stone arch, with reliefs by Ion Jalea and Dimitrie Paciurea, was inaugurated in 1936. A military parade passes under it every 1 December.
