Hungarian National Museum

The Hungarian National Museum, founded in 1802, occupies a neoclassical building on Múzeum körút designed by Mihály Pollack and completed in 1847. Its exhibitions trace the history, archaeology and art of Hungary from prehistory to the 20th century, and its collection includes the coronation mantle of the Hungarian kings.
