Royal Palace of Gödöllő

The Royal Palace of Gödöllő, in Gödöllő near Budapest, is a Baroque palace begun around 1733 for Count Antal Grassalkovich I by the builder András Mayerhoffer. From 1867 it was a residence of King Franz Joseph and Queen Elisabeth (Sisi); visitors see restored royal apartments, exhibitions on the Queen, a Baroque theatre and the park.
