Jagalchi Market

Jagalchi Market is a fish market on the edge of Nampo port in Busan, with a multi-storey market hall and rows of outdoor stalls along the waterfront. Its name is said to come from the gravel, jagal, that once lined the shore. Vendors, many of them women known as Jagalchi ajumma, sell live fish, shellfish and dried seafood, and the Jagalchi Festival is held each autumn.
