Cáceres Co-cathedral
The Co-cathedral of Santa María is the main church of the old town of Cáceres, built mostly in the 15th and 16th centuries in late Gothic style and keeping Romanesque parts of an earlier church. It has shared the seat of the Diocese of Coria-Cáceres since 1957. Inside stands a carved 16th-century main altarpiece of the Assumption.
