Bent Pyramid

A pyramid at the royal necropolis of Dahshur, about 30 km south of central Cairo, built for the Fourth Dynasty king Sneferu around 2600 BC. Its sides rise at about 54 degrees and change to 43 degrees in the upper part, giving the bent profile, and much of its limestone casing survives. The Red Pyramid stands nearby.
