National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
A national museum in Fustat, Old Cairo, beside the Ain el-Sira lake, partly opened in 2017 and inaugurated in April 2021, when 22 royal mummies were moved here from the Egyptian Museum. Its main gallery traces Egyptian civilisation from prehistory to the modern era, and the mummies lie in a separate gallery.
