Paestum

Paestum is the site of the Greek city of Poseidonia, founded around 600 BC and renamed Paestum after the Romans took it in 273 BC. Inside its walls stand three Doric temples from about 550 to 450 BC, two dedicated to Hera and one to Athena, together with the forum, an amphitheatre and the National Archaeological Museum.
