Selinunte

Selinunte is the site of the Greek colony of Selinus on the south-west coast of Sicily, founded in the 7th century BC and destroyed by Carthage in 409 BC. The park covers the walled acropolis above the sea, with Temple C, and the eastern hill with Temples E, F and G; Temple E, dedicated to Hera, was re-erected in the 1950s.
