Château de Chantilly

The Château de Chantilly, about 50 km north of Paris, joins the Petit Château built around 1560 for Anne de Montmorency to the Grand Château rebuilt in 1875–1882 by the Duke of Aumale, who left the estate to the Institut de France. It houses the paintings and manuscripts of the Musée Condé; the park and the 18th-century Great Stables are part of the visit.
