The Historic Dockyard Chatham

The Historic Dockyard Chatham occupies the 18th-century core of the former Royal Navy dockyard on the River Medway, which built warships for around 400 years until it closed in 1984. Visitors see the Victorian sloop HMS Gannet, the destroyer HMS Cavalier, the submarine HMS Ocelot, the Grade I listed Ropery and the covered slips.
