What’s on
Now onLiquid Bodies – Stamceller og ny bioteknologi
Until 20 Dec 2026
How can stem cells and stem cell medicine shape our lives both now and in the future?

Corona bliver også historie en dag
The exhibition draws threads back through time as it mirrors the year of covid-19 against past experiences with major epidemics.

Det indsamlede menneske
Foetuses, skeletons, cells and DNA. The exhibition shows a large selection of Medical Museion's historical collections of the human body – from the end of the 18th century up to today.

I blinde
This small exhibition is primarily meant to be felt and listened to. The exhibition consists of historical and contemporary means of communication used by people who are blind or have low vision. Unheard of for a museum exhibition, you are welcome to touch the objects. In 2022 a VR experience was added to the exhibition, showing what it is like to live with eye diseases, colour blindness and visual disturbances.

Psykiatrirummet
Straitjackets, a box of brains and an electroshock machine. A lot has changed in the last 50 years, but the important questions are still up for discussion: What is the psyche? When is social deviance pathological? How do life history, chemistry, genetics and surroundings interact?

Kintsugi
As life is lived, we get scratches. Sometimes small tears, other times larger wounds and breakdowns. We can be patched up and live on, and the repairs become testimony to our lived lives. This exhibition explores how medical science and technology try to repair the fragile body.
