What’s on
Now on1950'erne
Permanent
Visit the decade when Denmark said goodbye to war and scarcity, and when working-class families also became consumers. The trip through the 1950s is pure nostalgia.

Det er bare et arbejde
invites reflection on our working lives.

Festsalen
The banqueting hall is the heart of the workers' assembly building from 1879. It is filled with decorations that bear witness to the many different trades that have used the building in Rømersgade.

Slaget på fælleden
In the beautiful room above the banqueting hall, a dramatic light and sound show unfolds across ceilings and walls – you experience the birth of the labour movement with several senses.

Vi er arbejderne
Experience the harsh life of workers around 1900. Step into the maid's damp chamber and the family's wretched cubbyhole of an attic flat.

Industriarbejdet
From the mid-1800s to the present day, the answer to that question changes.

Café & ØL-HALLE
Café & Øl-Halle has been part of the Arbejdermuseet building since it was erected in 1879.

Alting begynder med en sang
tells the story of song as a political weapon, which from the very beginning has strengthened workers' solidarity.

børnenes Arbejdermuseum
the youngest guests can play their way into the lives of working-class children from back when great-grandma was a child. They can also experience backyard life with barrels, rats and outdoor privies.

Bevægelsen 1871-2001
Workers' will and ability to organise have given the labour movement the strength to influence and change Danish society.
