Archaeological Museum of Corfu

The Archaeological Museum of Corfu was built in 1962–1965 in Corfu town to house the finds from the island's Temple of Artemis and was extended in 1994. Its centrepiece is the Gorgon pediment from that temple, dated to about 590–580 BC; it also shows the Lion of Menecrates and finds from the ancient city of Corcyra and from Kassiopi.
