Coria Cathedral

Coria Cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption, was begun in 1498 on the site of a Visigothic cathedral and a later mosque. Its Gothic nave has Plateresque portals and a Baroque bell tower, and the 1755 Lisbon earthquake damaged it badly. Visits take in the choir, cloister, tower and museum and a showing of the Holy Tablecloth, a linen relic.
