Da Nang Cathedral

Da Nang Cathedral, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is the seat of the Diocese of Da Nang on Trần Phú Street. The pink Gothic Revival church was built in 1923–1924 under Father Louis Vallet by craftsmen from Kim Bồng village and is locally called the Rooster Church after the weathercock on its tower; a grotto modelled on Lourdes dates from 1940.
