Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia

The Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, also called Marmaria, lies on a terrace about 800 m east of the main ruins of Delphi. Its centrepiece is the Tholos, a round marble building of 380–360 BC whose architect Vitruvius names as Theodorus of Phocaea; three of its twenty Doric columns stand again beside the foundations of three temples of Athena.
