Newgrange

Newgrange is a Neolithic passage tomb near Drogheda, in County Meath, built around 3100 BC on a rise above the River Boyne. Its round mound has a white quartz façade, carved kerbstones and a passage aligned with the winter solstice sunrise. It is part of the Brú na Bóinne World Heritage Site and is reached only on guided tours from the visitor centre at Donore.
