Spire of Dublin
The Spire of Dublin is a stainless-steel monument 120 metres tall on O'Connell Street, designed by Ian Ritchie and erected in January 2003. It stands where Nelson's Pillar stood until a bomb damaged it in 1966. The cone is three metres wide at the base and narrows to 15 centimetres; at dusk its top ten metres are lit by LEDs.
