Königsallee

The Königsallee is a roughly 1 km boulevard in central Düsseldorf, completed in 1802-1804 after the city's old fortifications were removed. A canal fed by the river Düssel runs down its center, flanked by flagship fashion stores on the eastern side and offices, banks, and hotels on the quieter western side. Locals call it the Kö.
