The Real Mary King's Close
The Real Mary King's Close is a group of 17th-century streets and houses preserved beneath the City Chambers on the Royal Mile. The close was partly demolished and built over when the Royal Exchange went up in 1753, and its last resident left in 1902. Costumed guides lead tours through the rooms below street level.
