Powerscourt Estate

Powerscourt Estate near Enniskerry, County Wicklow, centres on a Palladian house remodelled by Richard Cassels between 1731 and 1741 on the site of a 13th-century castle. A fire in 1974 left the house a shell until it was renovated in 1996. The 19 hectares of gardens include terraces, the Triton Lake, a Japanese garden, an Italian garden and walled gardens.
