MAV – Virtual Archaeological Museum

The MAV is a museum of virtual archaeology on Via IV Novembre in Ercolano, a short walk from the excavations of Herculaneum, opened in 2008 in a converted school building. It holds no original finds: more than seventy multimedia installations, 3D reconstructions and holograms show Pompeii, Herculaneum, Stabiae, Baiae and Capri before the eruption of AD 79.
