Kimbell Art Museum

The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth's Cultural District grew from the collection of Kay and Velma Kimbell and opened in 1972 in a building by Louis I. Kahn, whose vaulted galleries are lit by daylight from above. A second building by Renzo Piano opened in 2013. The collection spans antiquity to the 20th century, from European painting to Asian and African art.
