About Fort Worth
Fort Worth pairs a cattle-town past at the Stockyards with a cultural district of art museums west of downtown. The Fort Worth Stockyards keep the brick pens, saloons and Billy Bob's Texas of the old cattle trade, and the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame is there too. West of downtown, the Cultural District holds the Kimbell Art Museum, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Modern Art Museum, the National Cowgirl Museum and the Museum of Science and History, with the Botanic Garden and the zoo close by. Downtown has the Fort Worth Water Gardens. Two days cover both areas.
