Gijón Aquarium

The Gijón Aquarium stands on the Poniente beach promenade, on the site of the former Cantábrico shipyards, and opened in 2006; it now belongs to the Bioparc group. About 60 tanks in twelve themed zones hold some 250 species, from Asturian rivers and the Cantabrian coast to the Caribbean, Cape Horn and the Indo-Pacific.
